About the collection

"The concept centres around themes of mental health and childhood, and how I have carried many difficult feelings and struggles with me throughout my life without even realizing. My goal was to portray my experience dealing with anxiety, self-doubt, and perfectionism. I wanted to create these pieces as a kind of catharsis and to celebrate how much I have grown.

As I was playing around with the concept of childlike imagery, the bunny character developed as a stand-in or mascot for myself. Repressing how my anxiety can cause me to feel small, fragile, scared, and helpless at times. The character also allowed me to remove myself from the work somewhat and let the viewer project themselves onto it." - Karina Scott
